Who we Are

Nicole Williams is a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT/L) as well as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP).  She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2001.  She has practiced in a variety of settings, including pediatrics, evaluation/training of medical equipment and assistive technology, and most recently, in a skilled nursing facility with an emphasis on short term rehabilitation for older adults.

Nicole feels particularly passionate about caring for our older adult population and is focused on increasing quality of life while promoting safety and independence.  She is heavily involved in a local organization called Rebuilding Together of Richmond, both on the Board of Directors and as a Home Modifications Coordinator for the organization.

Steve Williams is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Appraiser with 15 years experience and is also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).  He initially started in residential construction and was involved in various aspects of home building, including 10 years designing, building and installing custom kitchens. He moved from residential construction to commercial and industrial construction and, eventually, entered real estate sales and appraisal.

Steve’s approach to home design comes from years studying the real estate market and how the construction of homes has evolved. Using the concept of universal design as a model, he takes the approach that not only does a home have to be aesthetically pleasing, but must meet the functional needs of the homeowner.  He has remodeled his own home extensively, incorporating various features in anticipation of future needs and plans.   He has also modified plan designs for local builders in order to incorporate custom and practical design ideas.
